Kunu

Kunu was born in 1923. She married Niviaksiak, a renowned artist and carver, and resided with him at Kangia camp. Her artwork depicts scenes of people, animals and creatures. A number of her prints were included in the first Cape Dorset Print Collection. Her children include Qiaqsuq Niviaksi, Mayoreak Quvianaktuliaw, and Pitseolak Niviaqsi, an artist and master printer. Kunu's artwork has been exhibited at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.
