Parr
Parr was born in Qikiataaluk in 1893 and lived a traditional nomadic lifestyle for most of his life. He began drawing in 1961 after settling at Cape Dorset with his wife, Eleeshushe, and eventually produced over 2000 drawings. Parr's artwork is a visual record of traditional Inuit hunting and the nomadic lifestyle. In 1977, his work was featured on a postage stamp. Parr's artwork has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Canada, the Glenbow Museum, Frye Art Museum, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
