This online exhibition was developed with the support of the Virtual Exhibits Investment Program, Virtual Museum of Canada. The Virtual Museum of Canada is managed by the Canadian Museum of History, with the financial support of the Government of Canada.

With special thanks to the artists, families and estates of Cape Dorset community for their permission to reproduce the many artworks featured. We would also like to thank Dorset Fine Arts, the southern branch of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative, who established the artists’ community and granted us the opportunity to share these wonderful works.

The McMichael would also like to recognize our dedicated team of alt-text writers in Cape Dorset. Over the course of two workshops totaling six weeks, the team was able to produce over 3300 alt-texts and tag more than 1200 works of art. Their contribution to the project ensures the site meets high accessibility standards and a wide variety of tags to help visitors search the collection.
